2 questions.
« on: January 16, 2008, 12:06:21 AM »
Hello everyone. I have two completely different questions.

  1. st. Does anyone know how to make a nickel-iron battery or where to buy some? I have checked Google but they are a little bit pricey (read about $1000), and I have found nothing on how to make them. The only thing I found was how to make the electrolyte.
  2. nd. what is the easiest way to change cable from 4 gauge to 10 gauge. Is there a adapter or just some nuts and bolts.

As always, I thank everyone for helping me.

For #1...  Forget about it.

For #2, They make a square piece with a round hole and 2 screws.  Lowe's (cheaper) and Home Depot have them.  Tell them what you want to do, they'll show you the thing. Probably want to grease the wire with Ox-Guard.

If you are joining #4 and #10 wire together use a split bolt connecter.

donald;

Yes, the board software has been unstable lately. Some posts go missing and I see that getting logged out thing occasionally myself.

Cheers.
