i have a new stator built
« on: February 20, 2009, 08:49:55 PM »
been  playing  with gen building for a while  and with time on my hands trying to salvage the copper from  old experiments

been doing the summs and it looks like i might be good to about 500 to 700 watts safe  at about 500 to 600 rpm  i just can drive it faster that 400 rpm  its a 2 in hand 1.255 mm  i think the phases  are about .3ohm

it just i want to see what people feel is a safe limit for the size before i comit to  sealing the stator  and flying it  and 12.5 v cutin at about  220 230 ish

my coils average at about 32 turns  just curious if its best to have a few more turns  or open the air gap a tad and  fit smaller blades  like a 1.7m instead of may be 2mtrs
