Quick, psychotic rant: eBay solar cell buyers are nuts!!!

Ok, so eBay seller cusdn is selling solar cells. That's just fine.

He's got two auctions for the 1lb of solar cells - one with Buy It Now at $75, and the other open to the free market. Now you'd think that no one in their right mind would bid much more than $75 on the auction when they can just Buy It Now for $75, right? (Granted, one listing uses the shipping calculator, so it might be a dollar or two difference.)

But the free market auction listing is now at $86.

??!?!??!?!?!

Error. Does not compute.

Is this just a simple example of what happens when someone doesn't know how to use eBay at all???

How about the folks who will spend 40 hours and hundreds of dollars building a small electric producing windmill that returns less than a 500 watts average - $0.05 an hour or less.  Now, those folks are crazy!

AND, to get any use they have to build an expensive tower.  Talk about a waste of money! Don't get me started on batteries, inverters or - heaven forbid - 'grid tie'.
