compulsive meter reading disorder
« on: July 01, 2005, 02:37:47 AM »
the famly and my self were at a recent solar cook-off, took 2nd,and any ways:

a recently found famly member was there curious and asked "what's it like living off the grid?"

after talking to him a wile about initail cost & return, helping neighbors, side business,no electric bill, one time i even jumped the car with the house, bla bla bla"with wife lissiong" i got to the part about waking up and almost the first thing, is to see how many volts we got, water temp.and the lil red light to tell me if were dumping to the tank & the other leds for water level. then maybe checking again when i get back from work. WELL ! then she popped off and said "every time i walk by them things you can't not look! i've seen ya make get up and look and sit right back down! you can't even resist looking at the gages in the motorhome." well, then it was on !. so i  bet her.to curve arguments we bet minutes, it's a win win thing.if it's a heated debate? i'll even bet an hour or 2. so now i'm down to about an 1/2 hour now. and cought my self looking 12 times today!

could be more.should set up the cam corder.

i know i have enough batteries!

i know we're making enough juice!

is there any body off the grid that dosn't look?

i think you lie if you don't.

whanta bet?

so i started asking others of the grid.

ya know what?

thay got it to.

it's an epidemic !!!

100 % so far has it.

with no cure! none!

i don't think ther's a magic pill?

i'm not a pill taker any ways.

maybe some homeopathic remedy?

if i buy new batteries would that help?

looking at power bills dosen't seem to help?

do you got it to?
