BP vs CHP
« on: May 27, 2007, 11:22:12 PM »
There was a posting earlier today...

http://www.fieldlines.com/story/2007/5/27/53046/6521

it had a link to a greenpeace video all about decentralized CHP...

...now the post has diskapeerd

but this one about BP pulling out of a hydrogen fired power plant is still here...

http://www.fieldlines.com/story/2007/5/25/02214/4413

Now then, I can understand totally off topic posts getting the boot...

...the video linked to has some info that has made me think about my future energy & heat supply...

...then surely that post is more on topic than BP & hydrogen... & ppl not bothering to read the full BP info & getting everything wrong about why BP are pulling out of a hydrogen power plant...

...btw... the hydrogen for the BP plant would have come from natural gas... & CO2 given off when splitting the gas pumped into a north sea oil field to give the oil field extra life... wt*... nowt renewable about that... just prolonging the death of fossil fuel!

...one of the decentralized CHP systems in the video burns gas/biomass/whateverelse... it provides electricity & heat to local homes & businesses & the CO2 given off is fed to plants in greenhouses (claimed 95% overall efficiency!)

So...

BP vs CHP/renewable-energy-video-link on Fieldlines...

& BP wins...

lol

This kind of thing is not germain here. Has absolutely nothing to do with DIY RE. T
