Is solar pv sustainable?

I hadn't thought about it, but apparently mist cooling solar panels gets 10% better efficiency. The "best" place to put them is also the place with the least water. Even washing off the dust in a utility sized installation uses lots of water.

I don't see how installing panels would interfere with tortoises, but someone must have complained. In the long run you would think they would appreciate the shade.
