50 word limit on replies?
« on: July 05, 2003, 01:28:21 PM »
I'm not sure why but its happened a couple times now.  I've gone in to reply to a post and get an error stating it's over 50 words.  This isn't a general post it's a reply post.  There is only one text box option... whats up with that?

Having fun... with interruptions...

Nope, it's a problem. First time I've seen it come up. The only word limit should be in the intro text. Stories, comments and replies should be unlimited. I 'll check into it, and will do some test posts. We'll have the author track it down and fix it.

Thanks for catching it!

The word limit only kicks in on the Subject line of your posting -- you probably had the cursor in the wrong field of the submit form.

Cheers

I was in the "Comment" line both times it happened.  It's never happened in the "Reply to this" only when there wasnt any replies and I had to go to "Post a Comment" section.  Don't know if there is a difference.  Not a big deal but I didn't retry to post when that happened.

The same thing happened to me too a while back. I discovered later that my cookies were disabled, and after I fixed my cookies all worked well, so I thought that the problem was just with the cookies on my computer.
