Last night I finished preparing for my annual trip to Mildura (900km/~550mi) to attend the Wintersun[1] motorcycle rally[2]. This year I'm riding my dad's bike, which he bought new in 1972:

He's 72 this year, and has decided to retire from two-wheeled shenanigans. since his bike had never been registered or ridden on the road, I thought it seemed like the logical choice for me. Ironically, he paid $600 for it when it was new and it's now cost me $600 in new parts and repairs to get it roadworthy. ;-)
Young Tobias thought that he might like to come along, but I suspect he'd change his mind bythe end of the driveway:

[2] No racing involved. It's basically gathering around campfires to eat, drink, and tell lies. Much like fishing without all that messing about with rods, reels, bait and boats, really. ;-)
