Thanks everyone here who helped me LONG ago when building my first solar pannel, it is still wroking great, thanks mostly to everyone discussing all the problems a person could have.


a small 3x4' pannel that works at 3 voltage, charges up a Bunch of li-ion cells in a very low voltage high amperage system , i totally dont recommend low-voltage, it was an experiment.

this drives 22 high powered (1-3W each) luxeon leds, which is triggered by a motion sencor, and has a light sencor , so its fully automated NOW.


it lights the kitchen with adequite power to do anything needed in the kitchen (light only)   it even made it through the entire winter.

Wow - reminds me of the kitchen scene in the movie "Blade Runner" where lighting comes on only when a person is present at a work area, and fades off when they move away to another area. I think your solution for task lighting is very very smooth & would like to learn more about how you did it!! Way to go Psychogeek!
