still have blank hotlist items.....
« on: March 17, 2007, 01:35:05 AM »
I added items to my hotlist, and then the topics were deleted.  Problem is, I cant get them off my hotlist now, they are just blank spots.  How do we get rid of them???

The usual way to remove a hot listed post is to open it then click on remove from hot list, top R/H corner, don't know if this works on blanks though.

I have 3 of these blank hotlist items.

Originally I put 3 of my postings into the hotlists so it would be easy to follow responses.

My 3 posts were subsequentialy deleted by Admin - it was about the time a file size limit was placed on attached photo's. I had exceeded the file size limit.

Ever since, the          ( comments, 1 new)

stays in the hotlist and there is nothing I can do about it.  The title of the post has disappeared.

I have not bothered to do anything about it but when I saw this post i thought I would mention what happened to my list, just in case it helps someone.

Regards to all,

So has anyone worked on a way to actually have the system remove these errors?

Guys;

If you have a hotlisted story you cannot get to please copy the url and paste it in a comment here, I will make it visible again and then you can click it and "unhotlist" it. Never tried this but might work.

Cheers.

Tom,

This is the problem,

there is no url you can see, so we cannot paste it here.

I dont know what is next.

Let me know if you want me to try something else.

Mick;

Well, I guess if I had the author and the title and date I could maybe track down the story and make it display? If that info is possible to see for you I can try that.

But, if it is a clickable link there must be a way to copy the url. I don't use Windows so no idea how you copy an url from a link in that. here it is control button then click the link and there are options to copy link save etcetera.

I will do what I can in between angering users with my observations. [thats an inside joke].

Cheers.
