better get ready folks this is only the beginning

with fuel prices soaring, and money tight, alot more people will be in the market

for anything that "might" make a bit of power.

its gonna get really interesting in the near future.

also another thing to keep in mind, with scrap metal prices at all time highs

alot of the prime junk that the diy'er needs is being cut up and sold for scrap at a very fast pace.

probably not since ww2 have our resources been gobbled up so quickly.

surplus center used to have military surplus generators 300 and 400 amp units

and alot of other stuff like that,, they have not had any in several months now, maybe a year.

couple that with what boarders on fraudulent ad claims and you get alot of play on places like ebay for these ametek motors.

Yowza!  There must be silver windings in that one!

For about that same price you could get an AC (brushless 3-phase) servo motor that would be many times better considering all things. (max power, low wind performance, etc.) A much more serious mill though weighing 75lbs.

Might be best for 24v system though. I would guess it could make over 500W with a 8' prop.   Looks like an inch and a quarter shaft.

I got one similar recently for $50 that is half that power, and it is nice for 12v system. (approx. 200+Watts) And No cogging whatsoever/ low resistance.

I have a supplier of 36v dc pma motors 1500 rpm, 90 amp rating. My testing of rpm was with a 4.5 amp power drill produced 22.2 volts. Once I get this working with my hydrogen 17hp motor I will post results on charging my 12v 1000ah battery bank.

No ac output just dc, add rpm low torgue  ur ready to go. I hope
