Reading down the page on that link one ** reckons putting pv and a wind genny in a cave will prolong their life. :| When pv gets down $1 a watt will be the day hell freezes over or the manufactures are totally broke and looking for a quick sell as nuclear has really taken over. The first article was some what of interest but after that it doesnt deserve to be taking up band space on the net 'TOTAL CRAP'

Actually, /. is sometimes good on the humour.  Did you see the posting later where someone said that rather than put the PVs in a cave they need to be used and exposed to environmental hazards, so he pours kerosene over his and gets a nice big (and final) burst of energy when he lights it... B^>


Remember that the /. stuff is all commentary on an original article.  Humour aside, I think this shows that it remains a talked-about topic with possibly a reasonably good and rising level of understanding.
