Seems like a newer larger version of the OK4U?

For Europe's grid is all I could find (230V 50Hz).

Costs US$400 in Switserland at the only place I saw a price.

Consider how long it would take to break even on the electric bill, if ever.

And permits and other hoops to jump through.

Here, if I needed a second meter and its charge to be read, I would loose money!

I think that most people don't care if they get a "pay back" with these

little systems.  Kind of like, where's the payback of using a gas guzzling

4 wheel drive SUV for puttering around town ??  They "feel good" about it.

The Gridfit 250 is in widespread use in the Netherlands. It is usually installed with two 100 or 125Wp panels, sometimes even as much as 2x150Wp. It is a very robust inverter, passively cooled and completely sealed. It does not have any data connection.

It is hardly sold anymore because larger installations (600Wp and up) are now becoming more economical.

I have have no idea where it can be bought outside the Netherlands. Maybe on auction-websites like Ebay? On the largest Dutch auction-website (www.marktplaats.nl) two are on offer now.

In the Netherlands, f you have an old-fashioned meter (with a rotating disc), you don't have to do anything at all. Just watch the disc spin backwards and the displayed value decrease :-)

Here, if I needed a second meter and its charge to be read, I would loose money!

If you have a newer, digital meter it gets a bit more complicated. The energy companies have to read the second meter and pay you the complete value of each kWH (production, tax, transport, etc.). There is a special law for it. There are some problems here and there with the energy companies dragging their feet, but by and large the system works.
