12 volt Will it work?

Hi, I want to get into the Great Green Thing so I brought this off eBay BULK BUY PACK OF 10 X 2 VOLT SOLAR PANELS item number 140116243811 if you want to look at it on eBay.


All I want to do is to power a 12volt computer fan and want to no will it work?

All I have is the pannels and the fan they are not conected together how do I do this?

Hello there.


Yes it should work providing the fan does not require more than 150mA which is the max output of the panels.


Wire them in series to get 20v (the standard open circuit voltage for a 12v panel) and then you have your panel.


You might be better off getting a small 12v SLA battery and charging that with the panel and running the fan from that.

Great Link there Gary,

they have just the panel and small pump Ive been looking for if you follow their illegal off ebay link LOL

'Think' those panels you have bought are as you would find on the tops of those little single LED garden lights which gives some indication of what they can each collect and store in a day, about 8 hours of led light.
