solar installation how-to videos
« on: July 17, 2008, 03:44:50 PM »
Can anybody recommend a good how-to video on pv system installation (also wind, batteries, inverters, etc), and do you have any copies you'd like to sell?  I've heard that Residential Solar Electricity with Johnny Weiss is alright.  Comments?   Cheers.

I don't think that it will be easy finding good videos. I think there are some videos available on eBay by the sellers that made them. Besides, videos are to easy for you and you won't learn as much as reading the Frequently Asked Questions on this site.

That is a tall order!

It is more understanding than how-to.

Roof or pole mount?

Shingle, tin, or tile roof?

These guys are pro's.  It didn't help.

Every mistake possible was made, and a few I didn't think possible.

Never know if they make video's, or watched the same ones you seek.

The information on this website and it's mother site (Otherpower) is second to none.  No way to fit it in a video.

I suggest reading here.  For a long time.

Hi,

Here is one that has a bit of detail -- not really a "how to", but some useful detail:

Some written PV "how-to"s here:
