Just a quick. question on charging a car battery.
I just bought yet another Geo Metro. This one's been sitting awhile, and the battery is pretty dead. I topped off all the cells with distilled H2O and have had the thing hooked up to my cheapo B&W 2A charger for the last 4 days now.
Of the 6 cells, 4 of them are bubbling nicely, and 2 only barely so. I tried to turn the car over yesterday, and got nothing out of it (it does start with a jump start, though).
I'm not quite ready to give up on this battery yet (payday isn't for another 2 weeks). I thought I knew how to revive an old car battery, but none of my regular tricks have worked so far. I haven't found my hygrometer since I've moved, so I haven't checked specific gravity yet. I'm about ready to go out and build myself a high dc voltage pulser, but don't quite want to go there yet. Anybody got any other ideas?
