Charge times...
« on: July 24, 2007, 06:14:52 AM »
Hello - I'm wondering, in general, how long I should expect it to take for my inverter to charge my battery bank.  I have a trace inverter that is charging 4 6v 200Ah batteries.  They are connected serial/parallel so I should have 12v 400Ah.

My inverter is always in the "absorbtion charge" mode.  It never makes it to the "float charge" mode.  That, to me, would mean the batteries are full and it's now maintaining.

I've only let it run for a few hours.  Should I expect it to take longer?

Thanks...

Well Dexter,

You gave no information as to original state of batteries. So, how far is it from here to there?

I think you need to do a bit of research and also post in a diary rather than do three stories in a row ... but - JMO.
