battery life extended

One of my suppliers are cleaning out some stock and has this on sale,battery equaliser,it is a bit pricey so ($275. a gallon) would like to know if anybody has any dealings with it. www.batteryequaliser.com

I know what TGIF means,haven;t got to others yet so maybe you can help me out with that one.

EDTA is a food preservative.  It acts with the chemicals in lead acid batteries

to often get them working, working better, or lasting longer.

Everyone seems to agree it does help, but some people believe it

should not be added until there is a problem.

A search of this board will give the best info I have seen about it.

I'm with Ghurd here. I've EDTAed about ten batteries now and I'm not sure I'd use it until you needed it. On the other hand it may be very useful in new batteries, that are being overly discharged, to prevent sulphation. It really seems to slow self discharge also.
