What do you-all think?  is there much difference in performance between 2 golf car batteries in series and a singal 8D battery.

Particularly comparing the low budget model to the low budget model, flooded.

fun website,  I am a sound system freak myself.  Not currently working at it, but I was, and like to build my own speaker cabinets.  Latest project is a rear loaded scoop type horn.

An 8d is a big ass battery. 12v,  basically, it is 6 large 2 volt cells. 12"x20"x10"high about 145 lbs.

Mark,

I guess you've been to Sam's looking at their batteries? If this if for your sloop go with the golf cart type. The 8D is a starting battery for dozers and the like. Add a wind turbine on the stern, any time the sails up, you should be puttin juice in the batts.
