Well, I just found out that I have bought a beautiful piece of a mountain, replete with all the granite that goes with it. This presents a problem in that it will be horrendously expensive to put in a regular septic tank; in fact, all my neighbors have the evaporative sealed pit type ( I don't know the correct name).
I think I have an alternative: use a composting toilet & a grey water system for the kitchen sink water. State statutes (New Mexico) specify that all bathing & sink water can be used as is, except the kitchen sink waste water. However, once filtered, it too can be used to irrigate fruit & nut trees.
My question is if there are plans, drawings, schematics, links, etc, that I can access in order to build an inexpensive filtered grey water system that comes close to code?
Thanks in advance for the feedback.
