For your purousal: http://www.bizjournals.com/industries/energy/electric_utilities/2005/12/26/dallas_story2.html

These folks have revoluntionlized VAWTs. No pictures but they claim 900 - 2000 kwhrs/mo from a 4'x4' VAWT. Maybe they copied the Lenz rotor.

Just doing a quick number plug, using the low number of 900kwh per month... comes out to 30kwh daily and using the days hourly average (assuming 24 hour production) comes in at 1.25kw/hour.   Assuming it runs at 59%(100% of Betz) efficiency and is 16 sq ft.... you would need a constant 30 mph wind 24 hours a day everyday all month long.   Using the larger number 2000 kwh basically has the machine making 2.77 kw per hour.   Here you would need a 39mph wind sustained.   I think its overly optimistic... it does make for a nice dream.  And for only 6 grand... Wow

Ok, now here is what your going to need with your new 6,000.00 machine... I have a really tall bridge in New York which you can mount it on... yes of course I have a Deed for the bridge... sure its legal... as well I have a whole box of predug postholes I'll throw in the package, these are handy!

LOL Ed!

It is an interesting design though.  Kind of a cross between an attic exhaust turbine and a Dairy Queen ice cream cone...for a direct link...http://mag-wind.com/  I wonder how much the magnetic levitation reduces noise carried through the roof and it would be nice to see how the mag lev is designed.

Too funny! I like how they are looking investors in the 6 figure range, for their modified roof ventilator. I noticed that there were no real pictures of it, only 3d solid drawings, so I wonder if it even exists or is it just a scam to swindle somebody.

I read the part where they were claiming the power robbing obstacles (house roofs) most of us try to get above actually helps them. I couldn't help but imagine how all that wind hitting your roof magically focuses itself on their turbine. Maybe if you run a duct from your stink pipe you can get an added performance boost say an extra 500kW/month LOL ;-)

While it's nice and convenient to post links to these scammers, try to do it in a manual fashion (www_dot_scammer_bs ). By having easy links, search engines pick them up and the scammers get more exposure - perhaps even related to legitimate sites. Every time you post a link to their site you help them. Just a personal peeve. Carry on.

Oh, now I know how it works. Ross Perot Jr. is getting involved. IT must be work on a modified version of his father's theories. VooDoo physics. Please don't let me get a lie-bull suit for that. My identity is safe here, right?
