Knock off Alxion alternators anyone?
« on: February 09, 2009, 05:10:47 PM »
Would anybody like to venture an efficient production process to create something like the following from alxion. I would think the hardest fabrications steps would be the stator construction. If someone can get this down, it will be a real cash cow.

They use aluminum for the inner magnet ring which would be what is directly connected to a 3 blade mount.

Thick aluminum round stock should be easy to find and cut up as needed for the magnet ring, Maybe aluminum is not optimum?

Creative Ideas? I'm looking to produce a 5KW version at 240 volts.

Regards.
