Has anyone come across this modified  alternator? Its a bit interesting if nothing else with the hand wound stator. take a look and let me know what you think.

Both the M-12 and M-24 come prewired with a power cord <snip>. There's no need to run costly heavy gauge wire to your battery bank. Simply plug the generator into a good quality extension cord and run it to the battery location.

Here in Australia you'd get shot for trying to market it like that.

What happens if you take that mains plug and plug it into a wall socket?
