I've a friend looking at getting this turbine:

Despite being rated at 12.5
m/s (rather than mph) it appears not to break any of the laws of physics.
I am however concerned by the discrepancy between what they claim on their specificaion tab and what they experienced at their demo site. (They claim 1kW in 12.5m/s winds but despite a whole range of windspeed up to and passing this their demo site never achiever over 450W).
Has anyone any personal experience of this unit?
