stator problem
« on: June 29, 2004, 04:39:37 AM »
I cast a 6 coil stator to go with a pair of 12" 8 magnet rotors, but on opening the mould I have found that the coils have moved so the spacing between them is far from even. Now the question is do I use this as it is or make a new one? I think it should work but I need some advice please!

thanks,

Paul

A picture or drawing would be helpful.

Not sure if your 6 coil, 8 magnets design is correct eather.

I think the 6 coil 8 magnets per rotor should work as I am using Hugh Piggotts PMG plans http://homepages.enterprise.net/hugh0piggott/pmgbooklet/itpmg.pdf.I'll try and work out how to post a sketch next!
