what is the cheapest Generator to buy?

I would like to know what Generator to buy. I dont want to make my own since the magnets are alot of $$$$ and I am only 14 and money doesnt come buy that easy.

I would like to have a sealed dc motor that can charge a car batt or run 12v lights.

I like AMETEK motors but their too expensive. Is there another cheaper low rpm Generator I can buy?

 Take the blower part off, make a 2 inch wood disk with a hole saw, tap the wood disk onto the

motor shaft, hook it up to a 12 volt clearance

light. Turn a bicycle upside down and have a friend crank it while you hold the motor pulley

against the tire...see what you get and go from

there!

I bought a 38volt ametek motor for $36.00 with s&h.

now i'll need to work on the blades (I want to use aluminum blades hopefully) and find some way to make a pivot.

Where did you find that?

Some (most) people don't think metal blades are a very good idea.

You should do a search of this board for 'blade design', 'Zub-Woofers', and maybe even 'Sputnik'.  You can make a decent set of blades for about free.

Search 'yawl bearing'. There are some easy ways for that too.
