3kw grid tie rewind
« on: November 09, 2008, 06:46:47 PM »
Hi everyone,

I'm just writing to tell you's I got my 3kw grid tie turbine back from the rewind shop.

Previous post:

I got her up and flying a few days ago and she is performing ten times better than it was before.

ULR, Flux, thanks for your help.  Told the rewind shop to wind her the way you stated.

Again thanks for everyones input and help.

Dee,

Approx how much does it cost to rewind a mill?  I got a great deal on a used Dunlite 2KW mill and I want to rewind it up to a higher voltage as well.  It's output is rated at 110 Vdc, but I want to run an inverter like you are.

My only problem is finding/building a tower strong enough to handle a 300-400lb wind generator.

Rick,

It cost me £750.  Apparently it was a difficult rewind because of the way my chinese turbine was constructed.

The rewind company quoted me £350 before they saw the turbine.

So it depends what way it is constructed..
