Pin dimensions on 10' coil winder
« on: February 04, 2010, 02:18:29 PM »
I posted the link to a post by Dan re dimensions of pins in the plans for the 10' foot coil winder and yet again it did not get posted. I no longer have the link. This will be my fourth attempt.  I took the math test and selected the wind page and hit post when I was done typing and checking and still no post to the wind page. Are these dimensions a taboo subject? Why are there two different sets of dimentions one from the book in machinist speak the the others at 1" by 3/4" for the top and bottom pin spacing from the plans. All I want to know is which are correct?

Ron;

I do not see any evidence of any removed story. That leaves either yet another Scoop bug or user error. There will be a confirmation on the top of the page if the post went through.

One issue can be not unchecking the "spell check" button.

Sorry I cannot answer your basic question maybe DanB will see this [which I made to "always display"] so you can get an answer.

Sorry you are having problems posting. Near as I can tell it must never have been accepted for some reason. The logs do not show any removed posts recently.

Thanks Tom, I wasn't thinking it was removed, there'd be no reason based on content. I was mostly thinking of some sort of glitch. What seems odd is of all the people who must have made one of these there is no one who worked out some logical figures for these dimensions. How many people could have rulers to layout 0.46 on either side of an imaginary center line. Half of .061 on a ruler I don't even want to think about. But thank you for checking for me.

I  checked utube saw five choices that didn't relate to coil winder. Is this like a treasure hunt or the Indiana Jones lost code quest? Maybe I'm not worthy....
