I think ghurd suggested we call this configuration IRP (Individually Rectified Phases).

I have a 10 foot machine that I did some miscalculations on when I wound the stator.  I ended up using IRP and it performs fantastically.  I've never checked the running temperature of it compared to the other 10 foot I got with a star-wired generator, but I know it puts out more kWh than the star-wired genny.

I'm surprised more people don't use IRP.  I wouldn't hesitate to build another machine designed for IRP.

Hi I am located in Lisnisk near Rathfriland Co Down, we where lucky and missed the worst of the snow but we got hammered with the winds.

I've had a few burn over the years, all part of the game!

I don't think there is any fixing this one, judging by the smoke it released lol!

Good hear from you , not to many on here from NI

Regards Russell

LONG before you started posting Chris, we called it a jerry rigged configuration. Most here recognize the wiring scheme as jerry rigging. So long as you understand what wire to put where, it ends up the same. But thanks for your correction.

I think Crispy Fried Stators are best with some ketchup and a little hot sauce.

Call it "IRP" or call it "Jerry", I still don't know WYE the name matters.

No one believes the theory except the one who developed it. Everyone believes the experiment except the one who ran it.

hey!

i coined that jerry rigged term in response to his  unique approach

and the flack  he took over his truck mounted windmill.

it was cool how it got picked up and used so widely.
