I think it will work with a little grease and a set screw to keep it from tighting down

 Thats yaw bearing. By the way  the new slang for us wind nuts is  yaw heads.

You might get away with it. But you are going to have all the thrust against that small flange on one side only. This is going to bind unless you Texans have better grease than us Canuckistans.  I would think better a collar and then pipe over pipe.

Retain the top with another collar. A grease fitting and away you go.

I going to test this weekend , it is on a 130v 6amp Tredmail motor with 3 hornet blades


not very heavy
