I polished the the tower top and the inside of the yaw pipe so it would fit on with no play. I cut a 1" piece of yaw pipe and welded it to the tower, so when sliding the yaw pipe on it will stop when it hits the collar. I put a grease fitting in the yaw pipe. The tower goes all the way trough, and then sticks up about 11/2". The part that sticks up I drilled and taped a set screw. I am putting the tower on a big mogal of a hill, and it may lean down hill a bit. I didn't want the turbine to fall of. I cut anouther piece of yaw pipe 11/2" and welded it to the top of the yaw bearing with about 11/2" gap inbetween. This will leave room for the head of the set screw. Above that I plan on puting a removeable aluminum funel to route the wires down. Will this work? What are your opinions?
