WW II prop
« on: May 04, 2006, 09:12:53 PM »
I like the airplane prop look to this design.

After we laminated Maple and Fir boards together it was just a matter of sanding to achieve the profile.

It is not finished yet but this it what it looks like.

Do you like my assistant?

She's cute!

I have to remind my youngest that she must only use her power for good and never for evil!

My daughter has never taken modeling lightly, she is also disturbed that I asked her to pose for me and wouldn't allow her to hold the blade the way, "she wanted to". She will work for all 4 of the basic food groups as long as there is candy in them. ;)

Looks neat!  I cannot really tell how the pitch works over the blade - it almost looks to me like youve got steeper pitch at the tips than at the root but I think it may just be the pictures...

Too bad our angels can't get together.. I expect they'd have a lot in common.  Pictured above mine is helping me stress test wind turbine blades.

If I ever figure out what's in the box then maybe I can think outside of it.

I am trying to keep the pitch as even as I can on the leading edge this being behind the wind. Here is another angle.

I need to do more work an the blade but I will keep you posted.

I can see that you girl is growing up with a deep trust in her fathers work. Keep it up.

For two reasons: 1 We are hoping to combine both strength and flexibility. 2. It's what we had. :)
