20 Kw Commercial wind with axial flux alternator

Hi all,


I knew this manifacturer some months ago. They produce only a model of wind turbine, a 20 KW.


They are the first commercial turbine of this class i see with variable pitch blades. Some day ago on tv there was a report about theyr factory, so anybody can see some aspect of the making process.


Here you can find the video, just turn out the audio and you will be fine. This is a snapshot of the axial flux alternator (you can see it at 00:38).

I dont quite get it, are they placing the coils so that the magnets pass facing the coil's legs?



I dont have a clue of how it would work.
