Tower

If any of you were to see the prime spot to place a turbine on my property you'd look up and up and up and up and say... WOW.

Anyway on the property is a ridgeline that stands a good 10-15 feet above the surrounding area (300 feet or better) but there's a little delima. The surrounding trees help hold together the soil and they stand 60' or better. Obviously a budget based tower may be out of the question which is where you guys come in who know more about this than I do, about 100' towers. Oh yeah... and this is in the hills of Vermont where the hills are mostly gravel. I have contemplated welding 2" steel tubing in 10' latuce style sections. One cool and possibly insane idea is building a 100' wooden replica of the Eiffel tower using lumber cut from select cutting the local trees or possibly from tube steel instead of wood. I've looked at pre-fab towers that had a price tag to match their size.

Anyway... I appreciate any ideas and/or commentary.

Here's the deal... the tower will be designed for a 30' turbine... but to make sure I know how to do it I'll be starting with a 10'. Pretty much I want a tower to stick up through the trees and be able to fit a 30 footer. You can safely assume I won't be starting with something that big.
