How can this be
« on: July 22, 2007, 10:55:30 PM »
The wife and i were driving down the freeway south of Fon du lac Wi and saw these turbines and had to get a closer look. One was spinning pretty fast.

Well you probably know the rest of the story.

Took little windy roads and got within a couple hundred yards of them.Sat there for almost an hour waiting in front of the Do Not Enter sign just to see em spin.

Nothing not 1 rev and she still loves me

Then when leaving about a mile away it started spinning again.

The wife said, do you want to go back.I said no for the turbines sake.

You remind me of the movie The Cooler except he would sit next to lucky gamblers and your parking by wind turbines.

Norm wish i had a camcorder to be my witness

The winds were only around 10 mph at the surface but while we were there they were set for high wind maybe i triggered an alarm.Or maybe they just run when they need them.Wonder why the pitch was off in such a slight wind.

 Not fibbin here.

Yeah ....it's possible that they only run when

they need them..... got a guy near Walmart in

Ashtabula, O seems to do that, he has 2 HAWTs and

they are sometimes both furled even in 15-20

mph winds.

Not to make another dumb posting but we briefly saw a wind farm on the way up Door co.Near Brussels, there was a fairly large homebrew turbine off in the distance.

Wonder if it was this guys.
