chinese 300w 24v turbine blades ...how to make less noise?

hi all,

i have one of these units

I read that there is a mod with fishing line and epoxy that i could apply to the trailing edge of the blades to make them a little less noisy?


has anybody got some pics i can look as to get a visual idea of what i need to do.

Looks like he used clear tape at the highest point of the curve.

Look on the Australian website  http://www.thebackshed.com/. There has been some discussion of this there ans that may be where the fishing line idea came from.


You can also improve things by altering the tip profile and that has been discussed here before. Sandia Labs ? has done some work on this.

You might experiment with something extending from the edges of the blades.


Bald eagles have feathers along the edge that create turbulence that increases lift.
