I am looking to use this solid state relay as the way to dump the capacitor's energy into the work item.

SSR-480D125

Based on the max-values listed in the manufactors PDF, it looks like it will be able to handle the surge.   I'm looking for comments, either yea or nay.

Secondly, I'm having trouble finding a vendor who will sell me a spool of either Nickel or Stainless Steel to use to spot weld to batteries together.   So, I'm looking for vendor suggestions.

What kind of batterys are you spot welding together? Are they in a metal container?

 Don't quite understand.

         Maybe more detail will help.
