Inverter question

OK, Another question...

Why buy say a Xantrex/Trace SW 5548 inverter and get 5500 watts of power for $2795.99 when you can buy 2 Prowatt 3000 (@ $800 each) and one Prosine 1000 (@ $890)... that totals 7000 watts (6000 MSW and 1000 TSW) for $2490.00?? Wouldnt this be cheaper all together or is there a reason that I am not seeing??

 The main reason is that with the 5548, there is the ability to pull a max of 5500 watts from one unit; if you where to purchase the other units you would have to have seperate wiring panels for each of the inverters and you would be limited by their short burst maximums.

The idea is that u cant simply connect the inverters' outputs in parallel and get higher power.......their sinewave won't be in phase
