mircohydro help needed
« on: December 19, 2005, 08:28:47 PM »
I have a small hydro system doing 25 volts no load

i'm charging a 12v car bat just fine, probaly 30-40 watts

am using a 120dc permagnet motor (old trend mill motor for generator and a 400 watt dc to 120 ac inverter to send power 150 foot),

I'm in oregon near salem, I'm looking for other storage options, like used lead calium bats, forklift batts etc..

I may put pulleys on system to gain speed/power.

Is there a unit that will accept wide dc range 12- 40/50 volts

dc and maybe switch between batteries as charger to keep mulitple batteries toped off, this unit might aslo have bulit it invertor 400- 1000 plus watts, any ideas for batts or electronics would be helpfull.

I may build a bigger version

hoping for 150 watts dc or ac,

I wanted to build a banki for my 3-5 foot head but my creek has lots of flow varitions.

like my first i was thinking of using a 12" fan form an old heat pump.

to build a propellor turbine system. maybe I could build my own blade form metal then do pipe shaped cuts on it and twist the blades???

and ideas for bteer blades or angles of??

comerical shystems are way to expensive for me
