12 v ATX power supply
« on: June 08, 2004, 03:09:55 AM »
Hi!

I'm new here so please forgive me if I'm doing this wrong! I'm looking for the power supply that John II mentioned. I found the 70 watt one but I couldn't find the 120 watt one. There was a lot of good links in the rest of the discussion, but nothing about that particular one. I've found that another site, silentpcreveiw.com, has some good stuff about reducing power consumption, etc.

                                        Thanks, MickNK

Suitable for EPIA M and MII motherboards, the PW120M is a tiny 200W DC-DC Converter that snaps into your motherboard's power connector.

Hello MickNK:

I'm the fellow that wrote that post and I can't seem to find it either !

Either they took it off their web site or I over dosed on gramcrackers and milk just before writing that ! haha. So I don't really know what happened. I'm sure that they had two models. If I find the other one, I'll post it for you. I did give other sites on that thread that sold more powerful 12v input computer PS, but they cost more then the lower cost ones that I had mentioned.

Took like 5 seconds to find it by searching for stories posted by john II:

Thanks, jbenzO - I particularly liked the DIY one - I'm a cheapskate who likes a challenge. And the writer was also from Australia. MickNK

TomW: I easily found my posting, I just couldn't find the 120 watt 12vdc computer PS that I had mentioned within that posting. I know I saw it right along with the 70 watt unit I listed. I know I saw them side by side at fairly low prices on a single web page. Maybe it'll re-materialize eventually.
