Hi

Look on EBay I paid about £12 for a DIN rail mounting KWh meter, digital incrementing display down to 0.1 KWh.

if you are running at 60hz AC the GE digital residential kwatt meters

can be set to monitor watt/hrs as well as about 200 other parameters

and they are cheap on ebay

you just need a meter base to mount it in.

the watt/hr resolution is down to about +- 3 watt/hrs

there is a very simple hack to get them to read out the watt/hrs

and they read to .1 watt/hr resolution, but scan to where the closest i can get is the +
- 3 watt/hrs.

don't know if that will work for what you are after, but is a good option if 120/240

60hz is the watt/hrs you want to monitor.

Hi all.

Sorry I should have specified a watt hour meter for DC current.

1 for my Wind turbine 1 for my Water turbines and 1 for Solar.

Thanx

IIRC, one of the Dan's had purchased a meter that sounds like what you're looking for... ah, yes, here's the post:

Look for the "Doc Wattson".

Hope that helps,

There are some PIC (Programmable Integrated Circuit) types that you can build yourself.  Try www.thebackshed.com   I think they feature a project, with schematic.

No one believes the theory except the one who developed it. Everyone believes the experiment except the one who ran it.
