Banking Inverters
« on: July 25, 2005, 08:10:46 PM »
I have two inverters. Both are 48 volt to 110 volt. Both are 600 watts. One is sine wave, the other modified.

Can I hook these units in parallel to create a line of 1200 watts??

Thanks for your help. I have learned so much from these boards.

the short answer is NO!

even if they were able to be sync'd with one another(which is doubtfull), the difference in wave forms would create havoc.

possibly others will chime in on this one, and provide an alternative.

I second this you can use both but only if they are supplying different loads. DO NOT atempt to parallel the outputs.
