Wiring help
« on: January 11, 2006, 03:24:54 AM »
Hi guys, my wife told me she was going to leave me if i didn't stop this wind thing.......she has been gone three days now.....

I was just wondering if someone could tell me , as simply as possible , what to do with the A,B,C wires on the right and the X,Y,Z wires on the left.I know they go to a bridge rectifier, I just don't know how they connect together or when. Thanks

For star connection just connect all three A,B and C together .

then with x,y and z connect them to the ' ~ ' terminals on the rectifiers .

tie one group of three wires togeather for star--bottom pict. delta-

then the rest go to your rects--you can use two or three rects for three phase-

heres a drawing using only two rects-

if its a real high output alt go for three..

Thank you for your help. That was terrific of you to do the diagrams.

There are over 5000 people on here and I looked for 5 days for the answer but I guess everyone knew it except for me. Thanks again.

I hope she doesn't read this board, or you might just get your wish...
