What inverter?
« on: April 06, 2010, 03:16:08 PM »
Ok, pretty soon I'm gonna need an inverter, it is for a 17' 48 volt machine, I intend to make sure it never produces over 5kw, I'm not very interested in grid tie although it may happen in the future, hopefully within a year of the 17 going up I hope to have a 20' machine flying, I hear a lot of good things about the Xantrex 6048 because they need less balance of system type stuff.

This stuff is brand spankin new to me so any thoughts and experiences are welcome.

The XW is a very good inverter it is great stand alone off grid and it is also a very good grid tied machine. one recommendation i would make is to buy a MidNite solar Epanel for the xw it is much simpler and easier then the Xantrex Balance of System stuff.
