Wind tied to the Grid
« on: June 22, 2010, 04:50:47 PM »
Has anyone tied a wind turbne to the grid?  I would like to go from wind to batteries, then from batteries to the grid using batteries as a buffer for wnd surges.  Any assistance will be appreciated.

I tried it with my 13 footer didnt work well . I had better luck with  using a aurora power one grid tie inverter  . Plus it lets you mppt the power curve have had it up flying this way for about a month and works great .

Did you go from the wind to batteries and then to the grid tie inverter?

I have grid-tied my system.

Read  http://www.mindchallenger.com/wind for a web tutorial I put together on the F&P and the axial flux.
