Hi,
Does anyone have any experience with the thousandsuns Li batteries which claim to be drop-in replacements, including their own BMS, for lead-acid?

I've exchanged a couple of emails with Jean Viry-Babel their CEO and it all seems plausible and I'm sorely tempted to upgrade from my 40Ah SLA to a couple of these 30Ah to triple my usable storage capacity.

Damon;
I have not, Commanda may as she uses Thundersky in her Van.
One issue I see with the swap is the much lower current draw capabilities.
I believe these are C1.5? I would be at little worried. DOD rate is good though so I guess there could be trade-offs.
Sorry can't be of any help

My usual load is 4W rising to maybe double that, and if I really go out on a limb I might get up to 100W very briefly.
So, unless I've overlooked something, that wouldn't be amongst my problems!
Thanks for your comments though.

Here a couple of stories about using Lithium batteries for RE use . . .

I could not find the story that I was looking for where the guy made a Lithium battery bank for his wind power.
