Who says wind turbines and bird don't get along
« on: December 31, 2010, 01:05:12 PM »
Thought I'd share a picture or two of a new guest we have. We have a bird feeder that has attracted some Quail to the seeds dropped by the little birds. We've had a few National Geographic moments since this guy has moved in.  He loves this perch.  Happy New Year all.

It'll be less charming when you lower it for maintenance next, and have to chip all the guano streaks off.

 :D

No one believes the theory except the one who developed it. Everyone believes the experiment except the one who ran it.

The Chincha guano islands in Peru, want their word back...  %-P

According to the infallible Wikipedia:

Quote
The word "guano" originates from the Quichua language of the Inca civilization and means "the droppings of sea birds".
