DIY Wooden EPDM Hot Water Storage Tank
« on: February 09, 2011, 09:10:09 AM »
Hello, I am planning on making a large hot water storage tank with pex  tubing for heat exchanging.  Does anyone have any advice or pics that they can share on the construction of their tank?  Thank you.

This same idea works for on demand water heaters. My water that is coming out of the ground is around 50 degrees and i have an old water tank that I have taken the insulation off and is in line just before my on demand water heater. It gathers in the room temperature which is around 70. 20-25 degrees I do not have to heat. I am going to move it closer to my wood stove or maybe plumb a heat line from my wook stove to the tank for pre heating. It is not very efficient but it works. It helps with my fuel usage on my propane water heater.
