Good ol Sunelec. I happened to be in Phx and got a nice pile of stuff out of the warehouse. Eight 170W Chinese panels and Midnite Classic 200. These are pretty good, normal 24V panels. 35.2 VMP.Four panels are for my neighbor. Midnite controller was silly cheap. I won't even post the price I got it for in case it might get someone in trouble.
I think I can run at 96V nominal into 24V now with this controller. I haven't fully crunched the numbers but I think I can run 12 170W panels off it without hitting the amp limit. My neighbor will need MPPT soon and will get my old MX60.
Gotta build another tracker now I suppose. I'm gonna try preheating 6 gallons of water with surplus power on good days. Might get a bigger freezer or an electric coffeemaker too
