african wind 12ft
« on: January 11, 2012, 12:00:13 PM »
My friend has a African12ft grid tie machine for sale complete with windy boy inverter an voltage clamp.

He is asking 3500 dollars for it.

He is selling it because it was mounted in a very bad location. behind a hill. And on a monopole tower.

After having it installed the tower was wobbling to much so they filled the tower with concrete.

It stopped the wobble But now the wiring had to be brought out just below the turbine. So

every time  It twisted up he needed to have the crane come back .

Costing more in crane work than the output.

I have seen It working and it worked really well when the wind came from the right direction

This Turbine is located in Inkom Idaho 83245.

And is still mounted on a 10 ft stub of the tower.

Yes he still has it.   I have been thinking about getting it myself. But the voltage all wrong for my present system.

He paid over 10 000 bucks. for it . The windy boy inverter and voltage clamp was like 3500.

This turbine Is still available. And the owner said reduce the price and get it sold.
   2800. Or p
best offer.

A 48volt stator is only $ 500. if someone wanted to convert to a battery charging set up.
    Thanks JLT
